Writing online is terrifying.
When you start writing you start to realise there are gaps in your thinking, you are unable to find the right words, you might suck, or you might have critics. But mostly that nobody will care.
You spent all of this time writing the perfect article but nobody cares.
You’re not ready for this.
But great people do things before they are ready.
Writing online pushes you out of your comfort zone, compelling you to grow as a writer and a person. Whether you're passionate about travel, cooking, or technology, writing online allows you to connect with like-minded individuals.
This is why we wanted to start our writing journeys earlier this year.
What we quickly realized is that writing online is not the same as writing.
When it comes to publishing your thoughts, there is no easy way. There are places where you can write seamlessly (like Apple Notes) but publishing it is a pain. Or there are platforms focused on enabling you to build a website or a blog (like Ghost or Webflow), but they don’t inspire you to write.
We want to change that with btw.
Oh, and btw is open source.
We’ve just gotten started on our online writing journeys and we'd love for you to join us.
