Pros

  • As a digital marketer, it is a must for me and also for the entire marketing team.
  • The Related queries and topic section helps a lot to evaluate some Keywords to use later in Google Ads.
  • I like that I can browse through different topics, related to our industry, and explore what we could focus on to drive more prospective traffic to our website.
  • I like the fact that it is free, easy to access and use, pretty informative, and not complicated.
  • Allows for granularity in terms of region, date range, and topics.

Cons

  • There will be no data provided for smaller businesses with minimal traffic.
  • It may not show the websites where the volumes of traffic are pretty low meaning that we can't really see the full picture, but just the tip of the iceberg.
  • They don't give you exact number of people looking for certain things, just their relative share, which requires additional research.
  • Some terms do not deliver much information, especially when you are into the B2B Business.
  • The data on the tools is not useful for small or low volume websites since the keywords on it are trending keywords with huge volume and also the data provided on GT are not exact, the numbers are relative.
