Pros

  • Simon Data allows us to streamline the operations and improve workflows across our teams which then enables us to optimize our segmentation and create a cohesive experience across our marketing channels.
  • I like that SimonData ingests data from multiple sources so that we can get more granular with our segmentation and reporting.
  • Simon Data's functionality extends beyond what a typical CDP would offer including some ESP components which is a great value-add.
  • I love getting notification emails every day with the export of the dataset, which I use daily for my reports, dashboards and analysis.
  • I really enjoy the ease of use with Simon Data.
  • I like the way how all things are documented and how simple could be to test the implementation. I also like the support team which works proactively with the steps we need to complete.

Cons

  • Lately, loading times on the platform have been painfully slow, especially when creating segments.
  • The platform has limited reporting and monitoring tools. Some out-of-the-box reporting for the standard actions (email performance, conversion events, subscriber list sizes, etc.)
  • The product, while modern, is missing a few basic functionalities for email production.
  • The flows are not super visual and its hard to understand how users flow through them without digging in to each branch.
  • There are honestly too many functions within Simon Data's platform, so I haven't had the chance to test all that the platform offers.
  • Success Managers are not helpful. When I asked to A/B test Journeys, I was told that it's too hard.
