Pros

  • We liked best a shareable ability to conceptualize design and prototype solutions.
  • Everything in one platform. No complex integrations needed (the community, prototyping, the design tool itself, component library, collaboration, everything is cloud-based, and many more).
  • The interface design is very easy and useful. I do my mobile app designs now using Figma and they look pretty good.
  • Real-time collaboration is very helpful while working in a remote environment. Also, as a developer, Figma helps you with code snippets of the designs.
  • The implementation of rulers is simply amazing.
  • More than one person can work on it simultaneously (you can work as a team on Figma).
  • You can share your prototype with the client very easily through Figma.

Cons

  • Figma does not support animations and sometimes animations are the only things that make the UI look beautiful.
  • I really think the community support can be improvised and can be implemented more properly.
  • There is a bit of a learning curve, but this is expected on a advanced tool.
  • Adobe XD is closer to a high-fidelity prototype.
  • Using images and icons are a bit complex. other than that I think I would be just neat picking here.
  • High-end systems can easily use Figma smoothly, but on lower-end systems, it takes a hell lot of effort to create a design.
  • Figma lags when it comes to support low-end devices.
